Mary Newbegin is an international educator holding a Master’s degree in TESOL who enjoys building community in her classes through student-centered pedagogies. She has been teaching for nearly 30 years, working at the post-secondary level for 14 years, and working with international students for 18 years. As a newcomer to North Carolina, Mary is grateful to be part of a vibrant community at UNC Charlotte. In her free time, Mary enjoys Yoga, hiking, swimming, painting, and attending cultural events with friends and family.
