Student Health Center
The Student Health Center provides primary medical care, disease prevention, health education, wellness promotion, and various specialty services to all registered UNC Charlotte students, regardless of the type of health insurance they carry.
counseling and psychological services
The Center for Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) supports the holistic well-being and academic success of students and contributes to a healthy and inclusive campus climate. CAPS provides short-term individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultation, referral services, and educational and preventive initiatives for the campus community.
Peace Haven
Peace Haven is a designated space for meditation, reflection, and prayer located in the University Cone Center on campus.
Parking & transportation
Parking & Transportation Services (PATS) supports students, staff, & faculty traveling to and around the campus through parking management, on-campus shuttle services, and connections to Charlotte city-wide transportation services, such as the Light Rail. Students must pay to park on campus, however, students can ride the campus shuttles, Light Rail, and city of Charlotte buses for free (the cost is included in the university student fees).
Atkins Library
Consisting of 10 floors and countless study areas, Atkins Library fosters intellectual discovery by offering an impressive collection of scholarly materials, including robust special collections and the most up-to-date scholarly journals, and services, including interlibrary loan and the Writing Resources Center. Students and faculty are encouraged to ask the library’s knowledgeable staff of librarians for assistance with academic research.
Bookstore
Barnes and Noble at UNC Charlotte offers a great selection of textbooks, supplies, 49er apparel, magazines and gifts, and cards and convenience items! In addition to offering new textbooks, the bookstore also has rental and eBook options available. The knowledgeable Barnes and Noble staff is very familiar with UNC Charlotte faculty and class schedules, and will make sure you get the right materials needed for each course.

UNC Charlotte offers a wide variety of dining options in different locations across campus. From buffet-style dining at Crown Commons and SoVi to retail dining at our over 20 locations, you’ll find something that suits your taste, budget and food preferences. We offer a number of flexible meal plans suitable for resident students and commuters.
