Conditional Admission
UNC Charlotte offers conditional admission to potential undergraduate students. Conditional admission in this context means that the student has met all the requirements for admission to UNC Charlotte except for demonstrated English language proficiency. If you have any questions about conditional admission, please contact Undergraduate Admissions.
Students who are admitted conditionally can meet the English proficiency in various ways. One way is by completing the final level of the English Language Training Institute with passing grades (C or higher).
What about graduate programs?
Conditional admission is not offered for graduate programs at UNC Charlotte, but successfully completing the final level of the ELTI with a passing grade is accepted by the Graduate School as proof of English language proficiency.
